Beyond horseback riding, campers will have use of our heated outdoor swimming pool and trout fishing ponds (equipment is provided)! Campers will be picked up at 8:00 a.m. from "Bread" in Durango and dropped off at 5:15 p.m. The week culminates in a rodeo and gymkhana on Friday afternoon, which parents are invited to attend. Come a bit early for a family buffet pizza lunch and ice cream bar! Lunch is $12 per person. You have set the standard of excellence in how you want the ranch run; how you want your wranglers to handle the horses and to interact with the guests; how you want the children to be challenged; and how clean you keep the place from the cabins to the tack room to the property. Wilderness Trails offers five-day riding camps for local youths aged 6-16. The day camp includes transportation to and from Durango and just outside of Bayfield, lunch, horseback riding in both the arena and on trails, instruction, and a variety of games and activities. Campers are fully supervised and split into individual groups by age and experience. Our counselors are specifically trained and ranch certified for teaching horsemanship and safety to youth.
To reserve a space for your child, we require a 50% deposit. Deposits are refundable minus a $25 processing fee up to 20 days prior to the camp. Within the 20 days, the deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 1 week prior to the camp and is non-refundable.
