Join Wilderness Trails Ranch for half and full day rides, fishing rides, or overnight packtrips into the adjoining Piedra and Weminuche Wilderness Areas, Colorado's largest wilderness area. 

Advanced reservations are highly recommended. All rides require a short orientation.  All rides are geared to the ability of the most inexperienced rider.  We maintain small group sizes (2-7), and we organize groups by ability or common goals.  We have a weight limit of 230 pounds.  All participants are required to sign an Assumption of Risk release.

Half Day Rides: 2-3 Hours.  Depart at 9:30am or 1:30 pm, please arrive 30 minutes before scheduled ride for orientation and saddle fitting.  Variety of destinations, scenic overlooks, loops, meadows, and forests.  $75/person.

Full Day Rides: Choose from several incredible destinations like Vista Grande (a 2000 foot granite prow with sweeping views of the area's high peaks), the East Creek Loop (gorgeous meadows, high mountain streams, scenic vistas), or the Lion Creek Basin (a lake Vallecito overlook, meadows, aspen and pine forests).  Depart at 9:00-10:00 am, Return 3:30-4:30 pm.  Packed lunch included, please indicate your preferences when you book your trip.  $150/person.

Full Day Fishing Rides: Catch a breathtaking horseback ride up the Pine River or Vallecito Creek.  Cool off and refresh by fishing these classic wilderness trout streams.  You must provide your own equipment (breakdown rods and reels, gear, license, and, if you like, boots and waders).  We provide a packed lunch, please indicate your preferences when you book your trip.  Meet at the Vallecito Creek or Pine River Trailhead.  Depart 9:00 am, Return 4:00 pm. $200/person

Overnight Pack Trips:  Enjoy a stunning and relaxing ride to your creekside camp.  Relish in true camp cooking.  You may never see so many stars again!  We provide all camping gear and meals.  Hike, fish, or just relax.  Depart 10:00 am, Return 4:00 pm the following day.  Minimum of 2, Maximum of 5.  $300/person.
