Crossroads Rodeo - Pro-rodeo series held at the La Plata County Fairground every Saturday night in June and every Friday and Saturday night for three first three weekends in July.

Durango Fiesta Days  July - rodeo, fireworks and family fun!

Music in the Mountains  July-August - annual music festival featuring orchestra, chamber music and conservatory performances of classical and world music.

La Plata County Fair   - livestock show, demolition derby, carnival & beer garden

Durango Railfest  - 11th annual rialfest show featuring the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
