Wilderness Trails Ranch has been owned and operated by the Roberts family since 1970, and we have provided quality Colorado elk hunts and Colorado deer hunts for over thirty years, we offer guided lodge hunts and non-guided, drop camps for archery, muzzle loader and rifle seasons. Our outfitter license is #661 and our hunting area is unit 751.

We truly offer the finest accommodation and location of any lodge hunt in Southwest Colorado. Enjoy private access to incredible terrain as you head out before daybreak on horseback with your professional guide. Retire each evening to a hot shower, warm bed, and exceptional dinner. Cabins feature private bedrooms with private baths. Begin your day with a hearty, scrumptious breakfast, and then pack your lunch for a stunning day in the heart of Colorado's pristine forests.
Our guides live in and work this terrain all summer and fall, and you have no better chance to be in the right place at the right time.
Cost includes lodging and meals from Friday evening through Thursday morning, 5 days of guided hunting, saddle horses, field dressing, game packing, and transporting meat to the processor. Beer, wine, and liquor are available for purchase. Airport transfer is $35/person roundtrip. Meat processing is not included.

Our camp is located near the head of East Creek in the Piedra Wilderness Study Area. It is a 2 1/2 hour ride from our base ranch, and is near 9000 feet in elevation. The surrounding area is excellent hunting with multiple watering holes, creeks, meadows, benches, and alternating aspen and pine stands.
Experience true camaraderie and take full advantage of our guides experience as you hunt, camp, and dine with them. Enjoy a hot breakfast and dinner and packed lunches and snacks. We provide a fully stocked camp including wall tents, a wood stove, cots, and groceries. Hunters provide their own sleeping bags. Hunters utilizing our drop camp should have a basic level of fitness.
Cost includes packing in and out of camp, camping and meals for 6 nights, 5 days of guided hunting, saddle horses, field dressing, game packing, and transporting meat to the processor. Meat processing is not included.

We can pack you and your gear into most locations in the East Creek, Lion Creek, or Pine River drainages. Each job is bid individually depending on distance, terrain, and loads, but baseline prices follow: Saddle or Pack Horses: $150/day Wrangler: $200/day Game Packing (skinned/quartered): minimum $350 Pack Horse Load Limit: 140 lbs Saddle Horse Load Limit: 230 lbs. *Horses are not available for rent without a guide or wrangler.
